At the end of August, Mr. Memed K. (a retired college teacher) suffered a stroke at his home in Jakarta. Instead of being rushed to the hospital he was kept at home for 2 days. The reason being that his nephew, a renowned neurologist, was unreachable during these first few days. And only the connections of the nephew would ensure admission to the hospital against an affordable fee and receive the required treatment.....
