Poverty reduction in Indonesia

JAKARTA - In the 6–month period September 2012 - March 2013, Indonesia made further significant progress in poverty redustion as statistical data released by Badan Pusat Statistik of Indonesia on July 1, 2013, the country’s non-departmental statistics agency which report directly to the president of the republic. Official poverty levels decreased from 28.59 million to 28.07 million, i.e. minus 520,000 people. In percentage the share of poor people declined from 11.66% to 11.37%....
